About this trip

Rajasthan's three best-loved cities make a natural triangle. Jaipur, the Pink City, has the hilltop Amber Fort, the City Palace, the Hawa Mahal's latticed facade and the Jantar Mantar observatory, a World Heritage Site. The road west to Jodhpur, the Blue City, crosses the edge of the Thar, and the city is dominated by Mehrangarh Fort, which rises some 120 m above the plain, with the Umaid Bhawan Palace and the stepwell of Toorji ka Jhalra below. South to Udaipur, the City of Lakes, the route passes the Ranakpur Jain temples with their 1,444 carved marble pillars. Udaipur's City Palace stands above Lake Pichola, with a sunset boat ride, the Jagdish temple and the Saheliyon ki Bari garden; Kumbhalgarh fort, with one of the longest walls in the world, is a possible day trip. Hotels, meals and inclusions are set by the supplier and listed for confirmation.
