About this trip

The Andamans offer India's clearest tropical sea. Port Blair, the capital, holds the Cellular Jail, now a national memorial with an evening sound-and-light show, and Ross Island's colonial ruins across the harbour. Fast ferries run to Havelock (Swaraj Dweep), whose Radhanagar beach is regularly listed among Asia's best, with Elephant beach for snorkelling and sea walking. Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep) is smaller and slower, with Bharatpur beach's coral shallows, the natural rock bridge at Laxmanpur and a glass-bottom boat. Scuba diving for beginners is widely available at Havelock. Indian citizens need no permit for these islands. Hotels, ferry class and water activities are set by the supplier and listed for confirmation.
