Palaces, markets and K-culture in Seoul, then the KTX train to Busan for the coast and temples.
Seoul mixes a 600-year-old royal centre with one of the world's most wired cities. Gyeongbokgung, the main palace of the Joseon dynasty, sits near the Bukchon Hanok village of traditional houses and the Insadong craft street; N Seoul Tower on Namsan gives the city view, and Myeongdong and Hongdae cover shopping and street food. A day trip south of the city visits the Korean Folk Village or the Suwon fortress walls. The KTX high-speed train then runs to Busan, on the south-east coast, in about two and a half hours. Busan's Haeundae beach, the seaside Haedong Yonggungsa temple, the painted hillside houses of Gamcheon Culture Village and Jagalchi fish market fill two days. Hotels, meals and inclusions are set by the supplier and listed for confirmation.
